Interests: Playing baseball, being a freshman mentor, and cheering on the Redskins and Nationals
Goals: Obtain a degree in Architecture
I am interested in taking a career in construction to the highest level – possibly studying architecture or technical drawing at a university. I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands, being outdoors, and physical activity and originally I wanted to go straight to college out of high school, but financial hurdles will make that difficult for me. After speaking with my guidance counselor, I found out about a few local construction apprenticeship programs. I was surprised to find out that I could get my schooling paid for and earn money at the same time! I still hope to complete my degree in Architecture and I know that an apprenticeship in construction will give me the foundation I need to become an industry expert.
This apprenticeship will give me confidence about my career choice.
